The Peace Lily, scientifically known as Spathiphyllum, belongs to the Araceae family. It is native to the tropical rainforests of Central and South America. This plant is admired for its glossy, dark green leaves and elegant white blooms, which are actually modified leaves called spathes.
What kind of light is needed? Moderate to bright indirect natural light or bright artificial light.
How often to water? Water when the topsoil feels dry to the touch.
What is the ideal temperature? 18-24°C.
How do I fertilize it? Use seaweed liquid weekly/fortnightly or seaweed granules/alfalfa monthly/bi-monthly.
Why are the leaf tips turning brown? Dry air, tap water, or inconsistent watering.
Why is my Peace Lily drooping even after watering? It could be root rot from overwatering.
