The Cane Palm, commonly known as the Areca Palm or Butterfly Palm, belongs to the Arecaceae family. Native to Madagascar, this palm has slender, cane-like stems and feathery, arching fronds. It’s a popular indoor plant because of its attractive, tropical appearance and air-purifying qualities.
What light conditions does it prefer? Bright, indirect sunlight.
How often should I water it? Water when the top inch of soil is dry.
What temperature range is best? 18-24°C.
How do I fertilize it? Use seaweed liquid weekly/fortnightly or seaweed granules/alfalfa monthly/bi-monthly.
Why are the fronds turning yellow? Overwatering or nutrient deficiency.
